>I’ve spent this week working outside…nothing exciting just re-lining all our walking paths with gravel instead of sand and old bark. A tree trimmed here and a weed pulled there as well as a bit of raking.
This time outside solidified the fact that I truly do love being outside. I love fresh air and especially the crispness it holds this time of year. The sound of walking on freshly fallen Autumn leaves is always a delightful pleasure. I think that my favorite outdoor activity of all time is watching clouds ~ yes, seriously.
The sky of late has produced exceptional sunsets. The orange, purple and pink skies are touched by clouds slowly drifting by which just asked to be watched. I have fond memories of laying in the back of our old Ford sedan and watching the clouds roll by…a dinosaur, a turtle, a girl dancing! What lovely memories.
What is it about growing up that makes “adults” not take time to watch the clouds? to close our eyes and breath the air? to just be?I’ve decided that I can be an adult AND watch clouds and I’m going to do it every day!
When was the last time you watched the clouds roll by?
