>Charm: The power or quality of pleasing or delighting; attractiveness.
As I’ve grown older I’ve come to appreciate the little things in life. I’m easily charmed by what others may consider to be quaint and simple…and completely humbled by the creativity of others. Charm and the coastal lifestyle go hand in hand. Each piece in your home or seaside retreat should be pleasing to you…a feeling of delight often overcomes me while perusing the treasures collected over the years.
Chic Provence recently created this fabulous wedding centerpiece for an outdoor wedding. “The centerpiece is a simple and elegant arrangement of vintage bottles on a footed silver tray with a different flower stem in each..very effective, charming and doesn’t cost the earth!” As you can see from this gorgeous display, sometimes simple and charming is all that is needed.

A vintage botanical book of wild flowers combined with an old paned window create a truly charming and awe-inspiring piece. Debra of Common Ground carefully removed the old pages (probably from the 1940’s) and gently taped them in place. Adding some Queen Ann’s Lace & Black Eyed Susan’s to a nostalgic watering can makes for a picture perfect display!

Tracy’s Trinkets and Treasures created a truly unique and charming display of seashells from the family vacation in Florida. Vacation rub-on transfers combined with glass jars, a weathered wood case make for a charming display full of cherished memories.

A glass bowl filled with water, candles and orange Gerbera’s delights me to no end. The old folding chair adds to the beachy charm of my room.
